Do you have a waitlist?

We do have a waitlist for both our Bostons and Boxer puppies. The first step in on our process is to fill out the Client Questionnaire as we always try to find the best possible homes and environment for our puppies.

Do you offer breeding and/or show rights?

Breeding and show rights are occasionally opened if the puppy is worthy of being a breeding or show dog (ie. Sound conformation, temperament and health testings, etc.).

Will our puppy be potty trained?

Our puppies go home litter trained and knowing their potty and sleep and play areas are seperate. The goal at this age is to instill good habits and to build a loving bond with your new puppy. It typically takes 3-4 months to be fully house trained, but some puppies may take up to a year depending on the consistency of their potty training.

Potty training does not need to be an overly difficult task. Following a few simple tips and setting a potty training schedule for your new puppy can make this a lot easier. I personally bell train my dogs, and if you’re consistent, they will catch on VERY quickly.  Common behaviors exhibited by puppies before they need to go potty are sniffing, circling, or squatting. Their little buttholes will get enlarged before they have to poop also. A telltale sign it’s coming.

Over time, your puppy will begin to associate the need to go to the bathroom with the act of going outside. You can help reinforce this message by giving them treats and praise immediately after they poop or urinate in their designated area. Timing is very important for the puppy to make the proper association. The first 12 weeks of their life, they are like a sponge. Everything you teach them is very easy for them to understand. After the 12 weeks, it becomes harder, so the next four weeks (week 8 to 12) are crucial for them and you. And remember, their age is how long they can hold their bladder e.g. 2 months old = 2 hours.

  • Take your puppy outside frequently, at least every two hours.
  • Always take them out immediately after they wake up, during and after playing, and after eating or drinking.
  • Pick a bathroom spot outside, and always take your puppy (on a leash) to that spot
  • Reward your puppy every time they eliminate outdoors

This is the first time we are getting a puppy from a breeder. What should we expect?
